LEARNING OBJECTIVE To take the AP Computer Science A exam and score a 5. There will be three benefits: 1) It will help with college/university applications; 2) If you get a good score, you might be able to transfer the credit to college, saving on tuition and time; 3) This course can also assist you in learning your high school computer science course and achieving good grades.
LEARN JAVA Java is the preferred language for enterprise software development, offering numerous job opportunities. Many large companies rely on Java, including Amazon, eBay, Google, Netflix, Alibaba and more. Oracle, who owns Java, is also a major corporation. The Java Community Process (JCP), which oversees Java globally, includes many influential companies on its top executive committee.
INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER SCIENCE How computers store data, object-oriented design and implementation, sorting and searching algorithms, recursive strategies, the software development lifecycle, and 6 sets of practice exams. The textbook used in this course is "AP Computer Science A Premium".
